Terming the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) report on the threat to complainants in the alleged Public Works Department (PWD) scam "unsatisfactory", a Delhi court on Wednesday directed the agency to submit a detailed report in this matter. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his brother-in-law Surender Bansal, and a private servant have been accused of irregularities while awarding contracts for roads and sewer lines.

Showing displeasure with the report, Metropolitan Magistrate Abhilash Malhotra said the ACB did not make efforts to get in touch with complainant Rahul Sharma or the officials at the police stations where as many as three FIRs have been registered regarding the threat and assault against the complainants. Sharma is the Founder of the Roads Anti-Corruption Organisation (RACO).

Malhotra further said there was no a mention of the threat perception in the report and no attempt had been made to seek the reply of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (north west) regarding the assessment of the complaint.

The court then directed the Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) of the agency to submit a detailed report after assessment on April 11.

Earlier, the court had directed the investigative agency to provide security to the complainants as the plea was against "influential people". The matter of the complainants' security was transferred to the ACB after the Economics Wing of the Delhi Police failed to take action.

As many as three different FIRs have been registered at different police stations in Delhi and Noida regarding the matter. Acting on this, the ACB had stated that it had intimated the Senior Superintendant of Police (SSP), Gautam Budh Nagar, and the Deputy Commissioner of Police (north-east), to assess the complaints and provide security to complainants.
