Two passengers allegedly misbehaved with the crew of a Hyderabad to Delhi SpiceJet flight on Friday as the flight was delayed due to some technical reasons. The passengers were detained by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel in Delhi when the airline staff reported the ruckus to the security force.

According to the officials, the incident was reported at the Indira Gandhi International airport around 8 am when flight SG471 landed. The CISF was asked to assist the airline crew to take the two passengers away.

According to the airline, their flight SG471 witnessed a delay due to some technical glitch, reacting to which the two men started creating chaos onboard. When the crew tried to calm them down, they manhandled and misbehaved the crew, a SpiceJet spokesperson said.

In June last year a woman passenger had to be deplaned when she created a ruckus onboard and misbehaved with fellow passengers before the flight took off. The aircraft’s pilot had to return the plane to the bay to deplane her. However, since the passenger was found to be mentally unstable, police was not involved and no complaint was registered against her.
