    A chilly rainy morning greeted Delhiites on Friday even as the minimum tempearture rose by 2.2 degrees since Thursday, settling three notches above the season's average at 10.2 degrees Celsius. According to MeT officials, 5.4 mm rainfall was recorded both at the Safdarjung (considered official figure for Delhi) and Palam observatories.

    Lodhi Road centre recorded 6.7 mm rainfall while the areas under Ayanagar and Ridge recorded 6.8 mm and 3.4 mm rainfall respectively. The Met office has forecast a cloudy day with the possibility of more rainfall. "The day would be partly cloudy. Very light rain or thundershower could occur in some areas. The maximum temperature will hover at 19 degrees Celsius," said an IMD official.

    The visibility at 8.30 AM was 600 metres which improved to 1000 meters at 11.30 AM. According to the Northern Railway, 42 trains coming to the capital were running late due to fog, 18 were rescheduled and four were cancelled. However, the flight operations were smooth. Humidity was 98 per cent at 8.30 AM on Thursday, the maximum temperature was 21.6 degrees Celsius while the minimum had settled at 8.8 degrees Celsius.
