78-year-old man killed in Rajouri Garden

The deceased Jugal Kishore resided on the second floor along with his wife Shashi. His wife had gone to the local market to get vegetables when the incident occurred.

A 78-year old man was allegedly found murdered at his residence in West Delhi's Rajouri Garden area on Tuesday night. The house was found ransacked and the entry to the house seemed friendly.

The deceased Jugal Kishore resided on the second floor along with his wife Shashi. His wife had gone to the local market to get vegetables when the incident occurred. "The police received a call around 7:30 pm regarding the murder. Kishore was lying in a pool of blood with his throat slit. He retired as an engineer with the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) and was last posted in Chandigarh," said a police officer.

The couple has three children; two reside in Delhi and NCR while the other in Goa. The children have been informed and the body has been sent for the post-mortem.

The police are scanning the details of all the staff employed in their house. CCTV cameras installed in the house are been thoroughly scanned. According to the police, the entry into the house seemed friendly and so they are trying to ascertain if it was a role of an insider.
