T10 League 2018 Final: Pakhtoons will meet Northern Warriors in the T10 League final on Sunday in Sharjah setting up a replay of the semifinal 1 match. The two teams were top of the table after the playoff stage with Northern Warriors at number one followed by the Pakhtoons.

However, Pakhtoons were the first to make it to final as they beat Warriors in the first semifinal. Shahid Afridi was the star of the show as the Pakistan veteran smashed 59 runs of 17 balls.

Thanks to Afrdid, Pakhtoons posted a total of 135/5 in 10 overs. Their bowlers, led by Mohammad Irfan (2/20),  restricted the Northern Warriors to 122/4 giving them Pakhtoons a 13-run win.

Rovman Powell's 80 not out off 35 balls kept Warriors in the game but he couldn't finish the job. Warriors needed 24 runs off six balls but could add only 10 against Afghan left-arm spinner Sharafuddin Ashraf.

However, Northern Warriors made it to the final after winning the semifinal 2 against Maratha Arabians.

ZEE5, the global digital entertainment platform from Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited recently launched across 190+ countries, are the title sponsors of the Northern Warriors in the second season of the T10 Cricket League. Northern Warriors is one of the three new teams that made their debut in this season of the T10 Cricket League.

Maratha Arabians, which beat Bengal Tigers in eliminator, could only make 72/8 in 10 overs after being put into bat by Warriors captain Darren Sammy.

Only Hazratullah Zazai (15, 7 balls, 2 fours, 1 six) and Dwayne Bravo (13, 12 balls, 1 six) reached double figures.

South African pace bowler Hardus Viljoen (3/6) was the best Warriors bowler in the match, while veteran Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz (2/7) and West Indies pacer Andre Russell (2/21) also impressed with the ball.

The Warriors' West Indian openers Nicholas Pooran (43 not out, 16 balls, 5 fours, 3 sixes) and Lendl Simmons (31 not out, 14 balls, 4 fours, 2 sixes) took them home in just five overs.

The results meant that Sunday will see replay of two matches played on Saturday as Northern Warriors will take on Pakhtoons in the final while Bengal Tigers will play Maratha Arabians again for the third place finish.
