Martin Guptill scored his second T20I century on Friday as he went past Brendon McCullam to becomes the highest run scorer in T20 internationals.
Guptill took another two T20 record off his former skipper Brendon McCullum as he brought up his century from just 49 balls, beating McCullum's record of 50 deliveries as the fastest by a New Zealander. South Africa's David Miller holds the all-time record for the fastest T20 century off 35 balls.
Guptill surpassed McCullum's career mark of 2,140 runs when he moved to 58 in his knock, having earlier brought up his half-century from just 30 deliveries.
Martin Guptill was not selected by any team in this year's IPL auction.
Guptill and Colin Munro blazed 132 for the first wicket after the Black Caps elected to bat first. Munro departed for 76 from just 33 balls but Guptill continued the assault and brought up his hundred with his ninth six. He was eventually dismissed for 105 from 54 balls, his innings including six fours and nine sixes.
