The Indian cricket team suffered a shock in the third Test after three main players - Ravindra Jadeja, Hanuma Vihari and Jasprit Bumrah - suffered injuries. Despite that, the Men in Blue made sure to not give Australia the happiness of a victory and drew the match.
So now entering the 4th Test, the Ajinkya Rahane-led India will look for a win in order to retain Border Gavaskar series.
The series decider will see Australia in desperate need of a victory, given a win would see them retain first place in the ICC World Test Championship. India, who are currently in the second spot can move up to No. 1 spot if they can conjure a victory.
Brisbane weather
According to AccuWeather, Brisbane may witness intermittent rainfall on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On the last two days, there are 50 per cent chances of rain. The temperature on opening day could be between 21 degree Celsius and 32 degrees. Heavy conditions will prevail on all days with humidity crossing the 60 per cent mark, especially as the match enters the final two days.
Pitch conditions
The Gabba, known for the speed its surface offers to the bowlers, will need batsmen to be extra careful when taking on the pace attack. The surface may have something for the spinners too. The batsmen will have to adapt to the bounce.
