Jonathan Trott seemed pretty happy with David Warner's punishment.

David Warner has been one of the most controversial figures in the modern game. It will suffice to say he is not the most loved cricketer on the planet.
This was evident after he and Steve Smith were handed one-year bans for their roles in the ball-tampering scandal.
The pair were found by Cricket Australia to have orchestrated events that led to Cameron Bancroft, who has been banned for nine months, attempting to manipulate the ball with sandpaper in the third Test against South Africa at Cape Town.
David Warner was even identified as the 'mastermind' behind the whole incident.

Many people on Twitter welcomed the ban showing Warner was universally 'loved'. One user even observed, "Never has someone's fall from grace been received with such glee around the world as that of David Warner"
Jonathan Trott was one of those people who seemed pretty happy with the latter's punishment.
Trott took to Twitter to pen his thoughts with a short but loaded message: "Goodbye David."
Warner had declared Trott mentally "weak" before he was sent home from the 2013-14 Ashes series.
Goodbye David

Other users also made their feeling known.
Hi @davidwarner31 We love you so much, we've named our magazine after how many test runs you'll be scoring over the next year.

It’s telling how many ex-cricketers have zero mercy for David Warner.

I’m sure we haven’t even scratched the surface on his on field and dressing room behaviour.
Never has someone's fall from grace been received with such glee around the world as that of @davidwarner31 which sort of says it all about this totally odious individual. Happy retirement Davey

twitter would tend to suggest that David Warner is not a particularly well liked fellow...

Why do I have the opinion that David Warner is one of the most disagreeable people in cricket? https://t.co/750GNXIIPT

I remember Cameron Bancroft saying during the first half of this series that David Warner is a guy worth listening.

Now that they are free for 9 month and 1 year respectively, hopefully don't come up with more disgraceful methods to cheat! #SandpaperGate #SAvsAUS
Well the general consensus is that what’s happening to David Warner couldn’t have happened to a nicer fella. https://t.co/Hs49sB9UK4
