Key indices started the week on a positive note, with the Nifty ending at record closing high of over 10,150-mark. The Sensex was up 151.15 points at 32423.76, while the Nifty was up 67.70 points at 10153.10. The market breadth was positive as 1515 shares advanced against a decline of 1109 shares, while 165 shares were unchanged.

Except PSUs, all other sectors traded in green. Bajaj Auto, Hindustan Unilever and Bharti Infratel were among the top gainers while ONGC and Tata Steel were remained as losers mostly the entire day on both the indices. 

Sugar prices spurted by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following brisk buying by stockists and bulk consumers ahead of festive season coupled with halt in supplies from mills.

Meanwhile, Thomas Cook India has opened four outlets in North India to tap the strong potential of source markets in the region, the travel services provider said today.

This augments the company's distribution and reach in North India to 42 consumer access centres, of which 13 are owned branches and 29 franchise outlets, Thomas Cook India said.
