The video gives a glimpse of her transformation for the role of spy. The actress has left no stone unturned to prove to her director Meghna Gulzar that she is the perfect choice to play Sehmat – described as “simple, normal, feminine, girl and a spy." – Alia Bhatt has done a lot of hard work in prepping for her role.

Raazi is based on the novel 'Calling Sehmat' and is based on the life of an Indian Kashmiri woman (Alia) who is married off to a Pakistani Army Officer (Vicky Kaushal) to get information from across the border.. The film is set in the backdrop of 1971 Indo-Pak war. The film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Shishir Sharma, Alia's mother Soni Razdan and Rajit Kapoor in the lead. Raazi will hit theaters on May 11th 2018.
