Kangana Ranaut is racing against time to see that Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi releases on January 25, 2019. The actress, who plays the titular role, took over the reins of direction mid-way to finish the last schedule. Now, she is overseeing the period drama’s post-production.

Says a source, “Kangana aims to finish it in time. Although she is quite satisfied with her team’s work, she wants to give it her 100 per cent.” The Queen actress has been shooting in Bhopal since a week to finish a 20-day schedule of Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s family drama, Panga, which is based on kabaddi. So far, she was shuttling between Mumbai and Bhopal to complete the post-production of Manikarnika as her presence is required for both the films. Now, she has started using technology to save time.

The source adds, “Kangana spends one-and-a-half-hours on Skype every day after the shoot of Panga. She discusses the VFX, background score, music and sound, which are of prime importance at this stage.” Our source says, “Kangana interacts with different groups involved in the process through Skype, FaceTime or video call.” Also, we hear there will be seven songs in the film, including those that will be played in the background. “The tracks have been recorded, but they’re now in the mixing process. Some of then are completely ready, while others are in the process. Even the dubbing of different artistes has started. For instance, British soldiers will have a distinct accent while those shown from the East India Company will have a different one. Kangana is looking into the minutest details of this historical,” adds the source.
