Sayani Gupta's short film 'Love at First Sight' highlights the struggles of an aspiring actress

The Margarita with a Straw actress, Sayani Gupta, has stunned the movie-buffs with yet another commendable performance. Sayani was recently seen featuring in a short film named ‘Love at First Sight’ with Priyanshu Painyuli directed by Manuja Tyagi.

This extraordinary film is an insight into a suburban girl’s life who hustles her way through a metropolis, Mumbai, as an aspiring actress. Sayani Gupta who played the role of ‘Diskha’ a 27 year old, embarks on a night out which to her surprise, leads to something not quite ordinary.

Sayani along with her crew spent two days to shoot this short film, which indeed is a special project for her since it brings to light another aspect of a woman’s life and how she deals with the difficulties in it. This thriller-drama is a must watch for all the film-fanatics because it is sure to keep you at the edge of your seat all along.

Sayani says, “"I have never done a short thriller and when I read this script it gave me chills and I knew I had to do it. I have known Manuja, the director, since college and jumped at the opportunity to work in her first directorial venture. Shujaat Saudagar and Ashit ghelani of Bootpolissh films have been friends and they were producing this film making it special. The cast and crew knew each other and it was a very happy set while we made a very spooky film! I love the fact that Manuja has made a film that is even better than the script and manages to create an eerie atmosphere even though it's a 15 minute short film!"
