In the last two decades, several actors and actresses have played characters that are specially abled. In his last release, Tubelight, Salman Khan played a slow-witted — a man who doesn’t grasp things quickly.
Shah Rukh Khan in My Name Is Khan was shown suffering from Asperger’s syndrome. One of Aamir Khan’s double roles in Dhoom 3 had him playing a mentally-challenged, while Hrithik Roshan’s role in Koi Mil Gaya had him playing a man of limited intellect and childish personality.
Priyanka Chopra in Barfi was autistic, while a head injury causes Sridevi to regress to childhood in Sadma. To find out which actor played a specially-abled character the best, we conducted a poll and the readers have given their verdict. Hrithik Roshan won hands-down for his portrayal of Rohan Mehra in KMG with an overwhelming majority of 50.58 per cent!
So clearly, Hrithik has managed to beat both Salman and Shah Rukh by a whopping majority.
