Days after Alok Nath and Vikas Bahl received a clean chit, Nana Patekar might also have been cleared off #MeToo allegations. A report on Times Now claims that the police has released the actor off all charges on him in #MeToo case.

Nana Patekar's case got closed, according to the report, due to no prima facie case against the actor. There were rumours previously that the actor, who was going to appear in Housefull 4, got a clean chit. However the former actress who accused him - Tanushree Dutta, and her team, had denied all these claims as rumours.

In fact Tanushree then called the actor 'out of work' and hence his PR team was spreading some rumours. Her spokesperson alias advocate Nitin Satpute held a press conference soon after, confirming her claim. "I still have hope that no matter how long it takes I can expect to see Nana Patekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya, producer Sami Siddique and director Rakesh Sawant behind bars for orchestrating the harrassment and mob attack on me and my family in our car. How can the cops give a clean chit to one person when my FIR was filed against four people? So there is major foul play going on here with all sorts of lies being spread by Nana's team," she had said.

Her lawyer however hinted that Nana could have received a clean chit. The advocate Nitin Satpute even went on to state that he won't stop there. "I have not received any official information from Oshiwara police station about classification of offence (Summary Report) from police on behalf of Tanushree Dutta, if  police files any B or C classification of summery report, that can not be final. We can oppose before court and after hearing if court satisfies then again it can be directed police to reinvestigation or further investigations. Police acted negligently to protect Nana Patekar, many witnesses statement not yet recorded. One Shyni Shetty statement has been recorded partly. Police have not investigated properly so we are opposing summery reports and also going to file writ petition before Bombay High Court," said the lawyer.

Tanushree also reacted to the same strongly. She had accused Nana Patekar and team Horn Ok Pleasss of harassment. According to Tanushree's account, in 2008, she opted out of Horn Ok Pleasss after Nana Patekar and choreographer Ganesh Acharya pressurised her to do an intimate scene with Nana, that was not initially a part of her contract. When the actress walked out of the project, she was cornered and her car was attacked while she tried to leave the premises with her family. The actress had then filed a complaint with CINTAA, which went unnoticed. She then quit Bollywood. The actress started #MeTooIndia movement in a way with her complaint.
