On Wednesday, Mahesh Bhatt's sister and nephew filed an injunction against actor Luviena Lodh at the Bombay City Civil Court. Luviena had alleged that Mahesh Bhatt's 'nephew' Sumit Sabharwal was dealing in drugs and supplying it to celebrities like Amyra Dastur and Sapni Pabbi.

The Bhatts are now seeking a written apology and Rs 90 lakh compensation for damages, according to a report on Mumbai Mirror. Sumit, on the other hand, has claimed that he is not related to the Bhatts but only an employee with them.

It is to be noted that the Bhatt brothers - Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt - had filed a Rs. 1 crore compensation with the Bombay High Court in an earlier case. "Today, I appeared in the court at 3pm. In their plea, the Bhatt brothers said I should delete the video which I have uploaded on social media. They further added that the accusations which I have made against them are false but the court has told them that I shouldn`t be forced to delete videos. I am not making any defamatory statements. I am telling the truth and I stand by it," Lodh said, while interacting with the media.

Mahesh’s daughter, Pooja Bhatt, had tweeted a clarification, which read, “Please note that the lady in question is not a ‘relative’ since the man she was married to-Sumit Sabherwal is not MR Bhatt’s nephew as mentioned, nor related to him in any other way. Sumit is a senior production manager/head of production at @VisheshFilms.”

Bhatt's sister Kumkum Saigal submitted in court that Luviena continues to live in a flat given to Sumit by her son, Sahil, as a gesture of goodwill. She has alleged that while Sumit has moved out of the Versova house, Luviena refuses to do the same.

In her earlier Instagram video, running for one minute and a 48-second video, Lodh had also alleged that Amyra Dastur and Sapna Pabbi are among Bpollywood stars to whom Sumit Sabharwal regularly supplied drugs. . The actress stated that she filed her divorce after learning that her husband Sumit supplies drugs to actors like Amyra Dastur and Sapna Pabbi.

In the video, speaking in Hindi, she had alleged, "Mahesh Bhatt is the biggest don of the industry. If you don`t play by his rules, he destroys your career and life." Furthermore, she stated if anything happens to her or her family, Mahesh Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt, Sumit Sabharwal, Sahil Sehgal, and Kumkum Sehgal should be considered responsible for it.

She added, "Everyone knows that every person who works for Vishesh Films (Bhatts` Production house) consumes drugs, but no one talks about the Bhatt family."

After the video, Mahesh Bhatt's lawyer had also responded to the statement. "With reference to video released by one Luviena Lodh. We, on behalf of our client Mahesh Bhatt, refute the allegations. Such allegations are not only false and defamatory but have serious consequences in law. Our client will take such action in accordance with law as advised," said the statement issued on behalf of Bhatt.
