Having served divine justice to the nepotistic Nawab of Bollywood and kicking him out of his own franchise, Salman Khan, fresh from a field trip to Jodhpur, launched the trailer of Race 3, India’s answer to the Fast and Furious franchise.
What Bollywood lacks in follicular-challenged leading action men, it makes up with an indescribable je ne sais quois as the likes of Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Jacqueline Fernandez, Saquib Saleem and the former DJ known as Bobby Deol jostle for screen space.
Salman’s employment scheme for the marginalised reaches its peak moment in the trailer when Daisy Shah utters the words that would’ve made Karl Marx proud for its act of declaring class war on bourgeois capitalists – “Our business our business, none of your business.”
With the single line, Daisy Shah has elevated an action flick to an avant garde commentary on everyday life including the newfound protectionism defining Trump’s America and a whole lot of other subtext that future generations will surely learn from.
