In a letter to railway minister Mamata Banerjee, Yeddyurappa said she should introduce non-stop (Duronto) super fast trains between Bangalore and Delhi, and Bangalore and Mumbai.

Chief minister BS Yeddyurappa has demanded 19 new trains for the state in the upcoming railway budget.
In a letter to railway minister Mamata Banerjee, he said she should introduce non-stop (Duronto) super fast trains between Bangalore and Delhi, and Bangalore and Mumbai.
Yeddyurappa has also demanded non-stop overnight (Duronto) services between Bangalore and Hubli from both ends, an express train between Bangalore and Hospet, an intercity express between Shimoga and Mysore, trains connecting Bijapur to Mangalore via Gadag, Hubli, Arasikere, Hassan and Sakaleshpur, and Bijapur to Mysore via Gadag, Hubli, and Hassan, and an intercity service between Hubli and Guntakal.
He has also requested passenger services (DEMU) between Mysore and Arasikere via Hassan, a super-fast express train with AC coaches between Bangalore and Sholapur, passenger trains between Sholapur and Hubli.
The chief minister has also sought daily services from Mysore to Mumbai and Ajmer, and from Bangalore to Amritsar.
