Cave-ins and potholes are also on the monsoon platter for Amdavadis this monsoon. The city was submerged again after just two-and-a-half inches of rain on Saturday.

More than five small cave-ins were also witnessed on the road that connects Khodiarnagar to Danilimda. A major cave-in took place near Bapunagar crossroads, which was barricaded by the civic body. Another cave-in took place in Maninagar, near Dakshini underpass.

"AMC is taking necessary steps to check waterlogging and repair roads. There are a couple of old roads which can have cave-ins. Our team is dedicated to working 24*7," said Hitesh Contractor, city engineer, AMC.
