Robbers kill Indian, injure another in Moscow

An Indian national was killed and another injured after being badly beaten up by a group of robbers who forcibly entered into their apartment in east Moscow, police said.

Four robbers entered into the apartment shared by the two Indians on Shcholkovskoye Highway yesterday and tied them with scotch tape, they said.

The Indians were badly beaten up by the robbers and one of them succumbed to injuries, Interfax reported quoting police.

Valuables and cash worth $500 were robbed from the apartment rented, they said, without disclosing the identity of Indians.

"A criminal case has been launched and the local branch of investigations committee is conducting the probe," a police spokesperson said.
