US President Donald Trump and his love for 140 character broadcast shows no signs of fading.

President Donald Trump has cemented his credentials as Tweeter-in-Chief since taking office.
Nearly 100 days into his presidency, Trump has posted 489 tweets, or about five per day on average, typically between the hours of 6 am to 8 am EDT, according to data compiled by Thomson Reuters.
Trump is the first US president to use his personal Twitter account @realDonaldTrump. Since his account was created in 2009, Trump has sent out 34,800 tweets. One of the most active politicians on Twitter, Trump has previously expressed his love for Twitter.
In Nov 2012, he tweeted: "I love Twitter .... it's like owning your own newspaper--- without the losses." The tweet got 5,033 re-tweets and 5,399 likes.

Trump currently has 28.4 million followers. His predecessor Barack Obama, the first US president to ever have a Twitter account, had 13.5 million followers on his official handle @POTUS. He sent out only 342 tweets as president.

Frequency: @realDonaldTrump has tweeted 434 times as a President elect, with an average of 6 tweets daily. As the President of the United States he has tweeted 489 times from the same account. The average here is about 5 tweets per day.
Normal tweeting hours: Both as President-elect and as President, Trump's preferred tweeting time is 8 am EDT. As president elect, 61 tweets, as President, 74.
Hashtags/topics/handles used: As president, Trump has tweeted news handles the most. He has tweeted handles such as @CNN @FoxNews @nytimes @foxandfriends @CNN calling out "fake news" but topics changed to promoting his policies like #RepealANDReplace #Obamacare.
Previously, as President-elect too he had tweeted news handles about fake news. He has used hashtags to celebrate his win (#ThankYouTour2016 and #AmericaFirst) and and to promote his inauguration (#InaugurationDay and #Inauguration2017)

Most tweeted days: January 16 was the busiest tweeting day for the President-elect, with 15 tweets to promote free tickets for Trump’s inauguration-related events. As President, the most tweeted day was February 8, with 11 tweets regarding Jeff Sessions’ confirmation and unfair treatment towards daughter Ivanka Trump. Another day with equally high number of tweets was February 15 with 11 tweets regarding Russian intelligence probe and intelligence agency leaking.
