Amid security concerns, the British Council in Bangladesh has temporarily closed all its offices till the review of security policies.

It also announced to reopen the offices once new security measures are in place, reports the Dhaka Tribune.

In a Facebook post, the flagship UK organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations has regretted its decision to shut down offices for security concerns and announced to reopen it once new security measures are in place.

However, it also said the customer services will be responding to queries through emails, Live Chat and Facebook in the usual office hours during this temporary closure. This comes as Bangladesh faces serious security threats following the attack at the Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka in which many foreigners were killed.
