Elephants are known to be sensitive creatures and this story is proof of the same. In a video that is going viral on the Internet, a herd of elephants is seen destroying a banana plantation in Tamil Nadu, only to leave behind one tree which housed a bird's nest with 4 to 5 hatchlings.
The heartwarming video, which was uploaded on YouTube by Thanthi TV on May 7, has won the heart of people. The incident happened in Tamil Nadu's Sathyamangala, a town in Erode district, when five wild elephants entered the town after leaving the Vilamundi Forest, local Thanthi TV reported. According to the reports, the elephants entered the garden of a man identified as Krishnasamy and damaged more than 300 banana trees.

When Krishnasamy went to take stock of the damages, he was surprised to see how a tree with the nest was left unharmed. Netizens praised this act and remarked that elephants have much more empathy than humans and that they understand co-existence.
