Now Maniesh Paul to narrate stories and sing poems for children

Maniesh Paul, who has a huge fan following among children, has been approached to do a voice-over for audio stories meant for kids. A source says, “Kids love Maniesh’s hosting, be it a dance reality show like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, or a series like Science Of Stupid. Maniesh has been approached to narrate stories and sing poems as well, which will be available on mobile applications for children. He will impersonate few popular comic characters to make it more interesting for kids.”

Maniesh confirms, “I was on the Da-Bangg Tour when I was approached and I liked the idea.” Does he sing songs to his children? “Of course, I do and they love it. Now, especially after Yuvann was born, me along with my daughter Saisha recite poems and sing songs to him. It’s great to see him smile,” says the actor-host. Ask him if his daughter is aware of his popularity and he smiles, “Yes, she is. She has watched all my shows and her favourite is Science Of Stupid — she calls her friends home and they all watch it together. Also, when people come to me for selfies, I like to give it a twist and tell her that people want selfies with me because I am your father and not vice-versa!”

What is the secret behind his popularity with kids? “There is no secret, I just want everyone around me to smile and happy and that’s exactly what I do,” he says.
