In response, Harmon said that Adult Swim, the channel that broadcasts the show in the US, hasn't officially ordered the next season.
The show creators reprised the fan-favourite characters of Rick and Morty for the latest music video of Run the Jewels. A fan criticised them for 'wasting time' in abusive language.
Harmon then revealed that the network is yet to give an official order for next season.
“I hear ya, tough spot,” Harmon Tweeted. “On one hand, it can be challenging, especially with crippling lazy alcoholism, to write a show that hasn’t been ordered by a network. On the other hand, the thought that fans like you pay the price...I mean...I’m gonna grab a drink.”
Harmon continued and as a response to another fan, he revealed that they never regret making the show.
“No. No no,” he Tweeted. “It means the show is popular. Humanity is 10 percent garbage. When you see a garbage person digging your favourite shit, don’t think ‘okay I’m done,’ think, ‘oh wow, nine cool people dig my favourite shit.’”
No approval from the network means the wait for the fourth season of Rick and Morty just got longer. In the meantime, you can enjoy the characters go full on Pulp Fiction in Run the Jewels video 'Oh Mama.'
