Here's how Ekta Kapoor will celebrate 1,000 episodes of Kumkum Bhagya

It’s been more than three years since Kumkum Bhagya started and till date it remains one of the top ten shows on TV. The serial will complete 1,000 episodes on December 21 and to celebrate this milestone, producer Ekta Kapoor will throw a lavish bash in Mumbai. Says a source, “It will be a big party with Ekta’s friends and Information and Broadcasting minister, Smriti Irani, also attending it. Others who are expected at the event, apart from the actors of the serial like Sriti Jha and Shabbir Ahluwalia, are Mouni Roy, Mona Singh, Divyanka Tripathi, Karan Patel and Anita Hassanandani  (the lead actors of Ekta’s other show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein).”

Kumkum Bhagya started with the story of Pragya and Bulbul and their mother Sarla’s desire to see them married, but as it progressed it moved towards a love angle between Pragya and Abhi. The show became so popular that it has a spin off in Kundali Bhagya.
