Wayne Rooney has become only the second player to score 200 premier league goals with his first-half goal against Mancherster City at Eithad. Rooney joined Alan Shearer in the exclusive club after he finished calmly to put Everton 1-0 up at the Etihad Stadium, marking his second goal in as many games in the top flight since rejoining the Toffees. The match ended in a 1-1 draw after Raheem Sterling equalised for the home side in the second half.
Alan Shearer welcomed the former Manchester United captain to club with a message. He tweeted, "It's been lonely in this @premierleague 200 club. Welcome and congratulations @WayneRooney."
