Premier League footballer accused of 'drugging and raping' model

A Premier League and World Cup star footballer has been accused of drugging and raping a model following a night out in London. British media reported that police are probing claims by a French woman that the top international player and his friend, a non-league footballer, drugged and raped her.

According to the Daily Star, the woman allegeed the duo attacked her at an apartment after meeting them on a night out in the capital. 

The woman, a French model, was interviewed by police in Paris on her return and later examined by forensic medics. 

According to the repport, the model and her friends met the players at a restaurant in Mayfair where they had dinner, before going back to an apartment in Westminster to get ready to go out. 

They headed into town and went to a nightclub where the woman said she drank two glasses of champagne and one vodka. 

She said she was dancing with the premiership player and that they shared a kiss. But she claimed that she soon began to feel unwell and started vomiting. 

The group left the bar and got a taxi back to the rented flat, but the woman continued to feel unwell and disorientated and went to bed alone. 

The woman claimed she woke up to find the footballer was having sex with her and she was unable to push him off because she was unwell. The woman then said the second man also carried out a sex act on her against her will. 

She said she managed to fight the man off and left the room and found her friend.
