Harbhajan Singh has slammed the senior selection committee of the Indian team. The legendary off-spinner has expressed his unhappiness at Mayank Agarwal being left out of the Indian squad for the upcoming Asia Cup in Dubai.

Bhajji took to Twitter on Wednesday, taking a dig at the national selectors. "Where is Mayank Agarwal??? After scoring so many runs I don’t see him in the squad ... different rules for different people I guess," he wrote.

Here's his tweet

Agarwal has been in fine form in domestic cricket over the past couple of seasons. The right-hander slammed a double-hundred against South Africa A in the four-day match, following that up with a century against India A in the ongoing Quadrangular series. Last season, the Karnataka lad finished as the highest run scorer in the Ranji Trophy as well as the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Chairman of selectors, MSK Prasad, defended the decision to keep Agarwal out of India's Asia Cup squad. "Mayank Agarwal has been fantastic and has been consistent in the last 10-12 months. He is just a step away and I am sure in due course of time he will get his recognition," he said.

“And he did well In all three formats in whatever opportunities he has got in domestic cricket. We will definitely look at it when we rest some of the senior players,” Prasad added.

India will be without the services of regular captain Virat Kohli in the Asian Cup. Rohit Sharma will be leading the side in Kohli's absence. Apart from the expected names, 20-year old fast-bowler Khaleel Ahmed will feature in the Indian squad for the first time.
