India is feeling the football fever with the FIFA World Cup 2018 underway in Russia. This year football fans in India can watch the World Cup in Russia with commentary in their own language. 

Apart from English, viewers can watch the football matches in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Bengali and Malayalam.

The matches will be telecast live in English on SONY TEN 2, in Hindi on SONY TEN 3 and in Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu on SONY ESPN. 

Viewers can use the language button on their remotes to change the audio language of the broadcast.

"The telecast of 2018 FIFA World Cup will be done in six languages. It is our endeavour to reach out to every football fan in the country through our programming initiatives," Prasana Krishnan, Head of Sports Content, Sony Pictures Networks India, said.

The tournament kicked off with a match between hosts Russia and Saudi Arabia on June 14.

The quadrennial month-long event will see 32 nations, divided into eight groups, competing in 64 games over 32 days and fighting it out for the coveted trophy.

The matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup will be played out in 12 stadiums, located in 11 cities and spread over 1,800 miles across Russia.

Top stars like Argentine Lionel Messi, Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo and Egypt's Mohamed Salah will all be taking part in the tournament and looking to guide their respective teams to glory.
