England's Italian coach, Fabio Capello, has said that he may consider quitting the post if the side fails to enter the Round of 16 in this year’s FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
Capello has said that he will take full responsibility if his side fails to qualify for the knockout stage.
Another debacle against Slovenia like Friday's goal-less draw with Algeria could see Capello walk away from his £6 million-a-year job.
Capello's release clause was removed before the World Cup after interest from Inter Milan.
General manager Franco Baldini is already considering his position with England.
Baldini has several offers to become technical director at leading European clubs and will make a decision after the World Cup.
According to News of The World, the England coach will give them a clean slate at training this morning and address the players about Wednesday's must-win match.
He is determined to put things right, but he will consider his future if the unthinkable happens in Port Elizabeth.
