The India team stormed into the quarterfinals at the World Junior Squash Championships in Ecuador after a 3-0 victory over Netherlands in Quito of Ecuador on Wednesday.
Mahesh Mangaonkar playing for the resting Ramit Tandon gave the team the perfect start with his convincing 11-3 11-4 11-7 victory over Tomas de Paauw. Aditya Jagtap was made to work hard once again by the Netherlands number one Rick Penders.
Aditya, who had also entered the singles quarterfinals, was leading in all the games but Rick fought hard and did not give Aditya easy points.
Aditya stayed focussed at crucial moments for a 11-7 10-12 8-11 12-10 11-6 win. In the dead rubber Ravi Dixit was too strong for Tim van der Pluijm, winning 11-3 11-3. India play 5th seeded Canada for a spot in the semifinals.
