Trinidad & Tobago down Titans in rain-curtailed tie

After long spells of rain led to abandonment and shifting of Champions League T20 matches from Ahmedabad to Jaipur last week, the city was greeted by a pleasant sunny afternoon on Monday.

When Trinidad & Tobago batsmen took guard at the Sardar Patel Gujarat Stadium Motera against Titans, it seemed everything was on track. However, the weather gods again decided to spoil the fun.

Chasing T&T’s 188/6, Titans were 153/6, and found themselves six runs short (by D/L method) when heavy rain disrupted the proceedings in 17th over of their innings.

The second match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Brisbane Heat was called off before the toss. With this, T&T stand a chance to join Chennai Super Kings in the knock-out stage.
