After putting in a virtuoso display in the first two matches of the ongoing ODI series, hosts India will look to gain an unassialable 3-0 lead by winning the third game at Hyderabad, and further batter an already demoralized Sri Lanka.

Despite the absence of regular skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli and his band of boys have outclassed the visitors in every department, and have notched up impressive 169-run and 6 wicket wins at Cuttack and Ahmedabad respectively.

India have had three centurions so far in the series, in the form of Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan and Ambati Rayudu, and the ease with which they hunted down an imposing 275-run target at Ahmedabad, only highlights their batting dominance.

Though it is another matter that the wickets in the series so far have been batting friendly to say the least, still it is no excuse for Angelo Mathews' side, who have been below par in the first two matches.

The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal resembles a  belter of a track, and it will not be a surprise if both teams get involved in another high scoring encounter.

The Indian bowling has impressed so far, with pacer Ishant Sharma finishing with figures of 4 for 34 in the first match, whereas spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel, also playing a huge part in the second win.

Sri Lanka, despite having their backs to the wall, have a few positives to ponder on, in the form of Kumar Sangakkara, and Mathews, both scoring fine half-centuries, and also the good form of spinner Seekkuge Prasanna, who picked up a three wicket haul in the second match.

The only area of concern for the islanders is the inability of their bowling to contain the Indian batsmen, and also as to how would Mathews and co. would cope up with the home side's bowling attack, which seems to be getting better with every game.

Finally it may all boil down to the batting performances of the two sides, and the team which piles up a mountain of runs in batting paradise at Uppal, may turn out to be the deserving winner.
