The Kolkata Municipal Elections on April 18 has caused a change in schedule of the Kolkata Knight Riders' IPL matches. Following a special request from the Kolkata Police, the team will not play any matches in their home city between April 12 and April 25. As a result, the schedule has been rearranged and dates of three matches and timings of two other games have been changed.

Chennai Super Kings, who were originally scheduled to take on the Knight Riders at MA Chidambaram Stadium on April 30, will now play them on April 28 instead. The home games of the Knight Riders against Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Daredevils, have also been pushed back. KKR will now play against the Super Kings on April 30 and the Daredevils on May 7.

The timing of the Rajasthan Royals game against Mumbai Indians and the one with Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 14 and May 7 are also being affected due to the change in fixtures. The timing of the match against Mumbai at Motera has been postponed to 8pm while the match against Sunrisers at the Brabourne Stadium has been advanced to 4pm instead.
