British tennis ace Andy Murray aims to replicate Roger Federer's 2014 heroics

British number one Andy Murray is aiming to replicate veteran Swiss superstar Roger Federer's antics in 2014, as the Scot seeks to return to the top of the world tennis rankings this year.

Murray starts the new season as world number six after falling out of the top 10 for the first time since 2008 last year. Federer, number six 12 months ago, had a troubled 2013 where he won only one title.

But the Swiss ace rebounded with five titles, a Davis Cup triumph and a Wimbledon final last year as he climbed back up to the world number two spot, the Mirror reported.

Now double Major winner Murray said that Federer 'doesn't give up'. He added that Federer had a 'very tough season' last year, and it would have been 'easy' for the 17-time Grand Slam winner to call it a day. 

Murray said that Federer addressed issues and came back 'stronger than ever'.

The Scot claimed that there is always 'more to learn' and believes Federer has shown that in 2014.
