Samsung has released the second edition of its fitness tracker Gear Fit2, with an embedded GPS and larger screen, along with a pair of cordless earbuds that also doubles as a fitness tracker.

Features of the updated Gear Fit2 include a 1.5-inch curved AMOLED display with a high-resolution (216x432) color touch screen; GPS and heart-rate monitor; auto-tracking feature; data-sharing feature and standalone music player. The device is also compatible with Spotify. It has a 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB RAM and 4GB storage. It’s powered by a 200mAh battery and is compatible with Android 4.4 and up.

The wireless earbuds, the Gear IconX, include three different sizes and wingtips and are activated as soon as they're placed in the ear. The wireless buds can track distance, speed, duration, heart rate, and calories burned, and also include a Voice Guide feature that provides feedback on the user's workout progress. The device works as a standalone music playing device that can store up to 1,000 MP3s. To control, users simply tap or swipe the earbuds.

Preorders for the Gear Fit2 will begin June 3, 2016 at Amazon, Best Buy and Samsung.com. They retail for US $179 and will hit stores June 10, 2016. Gear IconX will be available later this year, priced at US $199.
