Pop superstar Michael Jackson reportedly had a painful skin-shaving surgery in Beverly Hills to remove pre-cancerous growth on his skin. The singer was also photographed leaving a medical centre with a bag printed with the words "skin cancer", Sun online
reported.

"Diseases of the skin, skin cancer and skin cancer chemosurgery," the print on the bag read. Jackson was said to have visited the top dermatologist in Beverly Hills, California, every day last week as he battles the disease.

The 50-year-old star, who is all set to make a grand comeback this July, is worried and wants to complete the therapy before the start of the show. The opening shows of his 'This Is It' comeback concerts have already been rescheduled. The postponement came soon after reports suggesting that Jackson had cancerous growth on his upper body and pre-cancerous cells on his face. The claim was later denied by his spokesperson.

But a source close to the star said, "He's putting on a brave face but is absolutely terrified." The 'Thriller' hitmaker' was earlier slated to make his much-awaited comeback with a 50-date series run at London's famous O2 Arena on July 8. But the opening show of the tour has been moved to July 12, while three other gigs, previously slated for July 10, 12 and 14, have been postponed till March next year.
