36-year-old Anand Kumar of Bihar runs an institute called Super 30 in Patna. Every year, he hunts for 30 students from economically challenged sections of the society and provides them free coaching, food and accommodation all in an effort to helps them secure positions at prestigious institutes like IIT — for which other fortunate ones spend thousands of rupees.

The Discovery Channel has even documented Kumar and his institute which will be telecast on Saturday, March 21. Deprived of higher education himself due to lack of funds, Kumar came up with the concept of Super 30. "Over years I have worked hard and developed specific techniques which make learning much faster and efficient for these kids.” he says.  

Kumar once got a call from UK’s Cambridge University for higher education in mathematics, but due to lack of funds, could not afford to go there.

He knows the pain of poverty and harbours a vision to help as many poor children in the country to fulfill their ambitions. "I would like to increase my class strength to 150-200 and employ more teachers in the coming months. I just hope that nobody has to abandon their dreams because of mere money problem," he remarks.
