The BJP in Maharashtra is confident that the Shiv Sena will never divorce it in the state and both the parties will contest coming polls together.

This was an indication given by BJP general secretary Gopinath Munde while speaking to media at Thane on Sunday on the ongoing changed equations between the Shiv Sena and NCP.

Munde said the Sena will never do the mistake of having a poll alliance with the NCP.

Replying to questions relating to the meeting between Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thakeray in Delhi, he said that this was just a farce and there was no meeting at all between the two leaders.

"I know Pawar very well, he is capable of floating all kinds of rumours to achieve his goal and he can go to any extent in politics," he said, adding the alliance between BJP and Sena is of life long one and the Sena supremo Bal Thackeray will never give up the alliance and desert the Hindutva policy.

Munde said if needed he would personally visit 'Matoshree', Bal Thackeray's residence, to convince Balasaheb about the alliance and advised Uddhav not not be carried away by the tactics of Pawar.

"After Pramod Mahajan we have a great leader in the form of Narendra Modi and the Modi factor will be helpful to us in the coming elections," he said.
