Indian among others arrested in Bangkok sex row

Several foreigners, including an Indian, were arrested by the Thai police in Bangkok from a hotel room for allegedly indulging in sex orgy.

A Briton and his Thai wife were arrested on Wednesday night for organising the sex orgy at the Elizabeth Hotel in Bangkok's Pradiphat Road in Phaya Thai district, Bangkok Post said on Friday.

The foreigners were released on bail.  Police said 13 male foreigners and 10 Thai women were found in the room indulging in sex, the Post reported adding that the foreigners included US, French, Indian and Chinese citizens. They were released after paying fines of about Rs 1400.

Condoms and 30 viagra pills were found in the room, the paper said. The Briton has been charged with colluding in procuring women and men for sex, running a prostitution
business and advertising sex activities, which could land him a jail term of 10 years or a fine of up to Rs 28,000.
