Forest officer succeeded in catching leopard

A leopard, who entered a crowded residential locality of city's Mahatma nagar area and was noticed by people, creating panic, was finally trapped by forest officers after being injected by a tranquilizer dart.

The leopard rushed into 'punya smruti' apartments, forcing flat owners to shut down their doors. The leopard kept moving up and down the stairs. Forest officials rushed to the spot, took possession of the building, blocked its entrance by fixing a net and managed to make cat unconscious after shooting a few shots tranquilizer darts.

Police have busy time in dispersing mob, especially youths, girls, who were gathered around the building in curiosity to see leopard.

When confirmed that leopard got unconscious, it was picked up in a blue-coloured-net and put it in a cage and taken to forest garden near Pandav-caves to end three and half hour drama.
