Tata Comm strengthens MPLS footprint in SE Asia

Tata Communications, on Tuesday announced the expansion of its global MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) services into key south-east Asian destinations.

MUMBAI: Tata Communications, on Tuesday announced the expansion of its global MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) services into key south-east Asian destinations.
       
The services would be expanded to countries like the Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand--providing rest of the world connectivity to customers conducting business in these key markets, a press release issued here said.
       
"With these robust service offers and continued network expansion into key emerging markets like south-east Asia, Tata Communications is emerging as a leading global provider," Tata Communications' Vice President (Enterprise Sales and Managed Services), Richard Knott, said.
       
The MPLS expansion to these key destinations would add to Tata Communications' existing over 120 Points of Presence (PoPs) within the country and its network presence in China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia and Sri Lanka.
