Launching a fresh attack on migrants in the city, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray claimed that he is the only politician fighting for the cause of Maharashtra.
Thackeray was speaking at a function at Yashwantrao Chavan Hall in Matunga. He warned shop owners against not displaying name boards in Marathi. “Earlier, I had set a deadline of August 14, but since the BMC has also set a deadline of August 28 for the same, I will wait for their response till then. The shop owners will have to decide what is more important to them — putting up a Marathi name board or losing their shop.”
Thackeray ordered the party workers to kick people who will deny them justice.
“These people (migrants) do not understand the language of memorandum or requests. They should be beaten up whenever they will try to show their strength.”
He also targeted Maharashtrian politicians and education barons. “These people run educational institutes in Maharashtra but advertise in Lucknow. When outsiders come here, they get jobs in campus interviews and never go back.”
