India, who had lost to their sub-continental neighbours Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, in the preliminary rounds of the World Cup, were just ahead of Kenya who are placed 10th.
Giant killers Bangladesh, who advanced to the second round of the premier event and defeated top-ranked South Africa, have been positioned two places above at seventh in the list.
The four semifinalists, Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and New Zealand, have secured the top positions in that order.
Australia leads ODI teams chart with 98 points and South Africa follows at number two with 92 points.
World Cup finalists Sri Lanka are at number three with 82 points and the Kiwis with 73 points are at number four spot.
England is at number five with 62 points, West Indies (59 points) is at number six followed by Bangladesh (42 points), Pakistan (40 points) and India (38 points). Kenya with 14 points completes the top 10 ranking.
However, Zimbabwe dropped out of the top-10 list.
In the individual rankings also, none of the Indians could make it to the top 10 in either bowling or batting which comprised players from the top four teams.
Hard hitting Aussie opener Matthew Hayden has secured the top spot in the ODI batting list with 184 points.
He is closely followed by South African mainstay Jacques Kallis (179 points).
Aussie captain Ricky Ponting is at the third spot with 176 points.
Kevin Pietersen (169 points) and Abraham de Villiers (164 points) make the top five. Shivnarine Chanderpaul (160 points), Mahela Jayawardene (155 points), Scott Styris (151 points), Michael Clarke (147 points), Sanath Jayasuriya (145 points) complete the top-10 list.
Australian pacer Glenn McGrath, who retired after the World Cup final, leads the ODI bowling ratings with 195 points.
Muttiah Muralitharan sits pretty at number two spot with 188 points.
Nathan Bracken, who has impressed with his swing bowling, is at the third spot 181 points. Kiwi tearaway Shane Bond (177 points) is at number four and former Proteas captain and lead bowler Shaun Pollock is at number five with 173 points.
Another South African Andrew Hall follows with 165 points.
Sri Lankan fast bowlers Lasith Malinga and Chaminda Vaas are at number seven with 161 points and number eight with 156 points respectively. Bangladesh's Mashrafe Mortaza (150 points) and Aussie Shaun Tait complete the top 10 bowlers' list with 144 points.
