I have always followed football, particularly the English Premier League. I always keep tabs on the progress of Chelsea and Manchester United. England and Brazil are my favourite teams and I think the ultimate tournament in sports is the football World Cup.

It’s a great game wherein the endurance of a person is tested to its limits. Apart from the physical ability, the players exhibit their talents and watching players like Rooney, Ronaldinho and David Beckham is never a waste of time. Cricket too is a great game but it should be limited to 50-50 and Twenty20 matches. The game gets fast and exciting. And we’ve a result at the end of the day. I never would ever watch a five-day Test; it is  sheer waste of time.

With due respects to Test players, I feel that it is not cricket. I would like to watch the game where there is action, and this happens only in the limited overs games. I have met many cricketers and watched matches sitting in the stands. I watched all that happened during the Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa. There were a couple of great matches.

Much more than India’s win against Australia in the semifinal, the final was a thriller. Four balls, four runs and Sreesanth takes a catch to give India victory. It was amazing. I have met a couple of players at a show in Bangalore. They are great ambassadors of the country. Why not? They are doing a great job to make the countrymen proud.

I have never been an athlete. I am a perfect spectator. I would be there for all the matches my team (school/college) played to cheer the team. And it is a great feeling when your team wins. Apart from the regular office and domestic work at home, one has to sweat it out at the end of the day in the gymnasium or go for a quick walk to keep oneself fit.

I do a lot of walking and swimming to keep myself fit.
