LUCKNOW: Suspecting a 'big conspiracy' behind the serial blasts in Gorakhpur, UP Chief Minister Mayawati on Wednesday said top government officials had been rushed to the district for a "thorough probe".
"There seems to be a big conspiracy behind the serial blasts," she said.
The state police chief, principal secretary, home, additional director general of police (law and order) and ADG (special task force) had been rushed to Gorakhpur by air to monitor the investigation, she said.
Five persons were injured when three blasts rocked the temple city of Gorakhpur last evening in the busy Golghar area.
She said the government had taken the blasts very seriously and it would be probed thoroughly.
