Wagholi dome slab collapse: Cops arrest 4

Three days after 13 people were killed in a slab collapse in Wagholi, the Lonikhand police have arrested four persons, including owner of Prompt Constructions Pramod Gorhe ,for culpable homicide and attempt to commit culpable homicide.

Three days after 13 people were killed in a slab collapse in Wagholi, the Lonikhand police have arrested four persons, including owner of Prompt Constructions Pramod Gorhe ,for culpable homicide and attempt to commit culpable homicide, on Friday.

All of them, including a site engineer, were killed on the spot after a slab of an under-construction building at Kesnnand Phata caved in on Tuesday afternoon.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Makrand Kulkarni, Vekant Jadhav and Raju Gauda under sections 304 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC, 1860.

According to the police, Bhartiya Sanskrutik Darshan Trust runs ayurvedic college, where a new building is being constructed for the past one year in accordance with its new development plan.

The suspects will be produced before the court on Saturday.
