Here is how you can insta-walk with the Palkhi in Pune

With the Palkhi fever on, a group of urban youths who call themselves 'Pune instagrammers', is getting ready to experience the essence of Palkhi through their lenses. They will be participating in the procession and capturing every moment of it. This is the first time various urban groups are coming forward to join the Palkhis and experience the journey.
Manali Parmar, founder of Pune Instagrammers, says that she is excited about being a part of the Palkhi and eagerly waits for the experience of the exotic Maharashtrian tradition and capture its colorful ambience through her lens.
Abhishek Bhimbale, a member of the group, says: "I am looking forward to walking the Palkhi and waiting to meet different people. Also, I want pictures of me to be clicked with the Palkhi."
The instagrammers meet at various events and capture the essence of the occassions and personalise them under their own different hash tag. They also come up with a theme every weekend through the 'Pune Instagrammers Weekend Project'. This weekend, the theme they have chosen is Palkhi.
Vishwesh Kulgaonkar, an avid instagrammer, while sharing his excitement with his other friends, said, "I am looking forward to clicking pictures different people from the Palkhi and also capturing its cultural aspects and beauty."
These instagrammers will be personalising the pictures of the palkhi and uploading them on Instagram under the hash tag #PIPalkhi (Pune Instagrammers Palkhi).
The instagrammers will join the Palkhi from KEM Hospital on June 22 at 9.30am and they plan to walk up to Nana Peth.
