The Mumbai Police plans to hit gangster Ravi Pujari where it hurts him the most. His reputation. The police have written letters to those who recently received threats from the gangster assuring them that the Mumbai Police can protect them, and sending out a clear message to Pujari that they don't consider him a serious threat.

The crime branch is investigating the case of firing outside the residence of film producer Ali Morani by alleged Ravi Pujari gang members, which has once again created an atmosphere of fear in the Bollywood fraternity.

In the last two days, the police increased security of a few prominent personalities on the basis of threat perception. They have also written letters to famous personalities targeted by Pujari. "We have written letters to some personalities from various fields, who were earlier called by Pujari, assuring them that they have nothing to fear and the police are capable of protecting them," said commissioner Rakesh Maria.

Meanwhile, the crime branch said after the firing outside Morani's residence, Pujari had called one more famous personality from Mumbai. "We can confirm that Pujari did call one more person from the city the day after his men fired," said joint commissioner of police (crime) Sadanand Date.

"We have some leads in the case and are working on it."

According to a source in crime branch, Pujari has been calling at the behest of someone interested in the overseas rights of a yet-to-be released Bollywood movie starring a superstar from the industry. "We have reasons to believe that Pujari is calling on behalf of someone to get the overseas rights of an upcoming movie; we are investigating that angle," said an officer privy to the investigation.
