Expressing that National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) has been thrust upon students from Maharashtra, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday said that his government is approaching the Union government for availing relief from the examination for students from Maharashtra.
Speaking to media persons at Sahyadri guest house, Fadnavis said that even though the state government is trying its best to address the grievance at the Union government level, the students should prepare for the examination.
Fadnavis pointed out that students from the state could not prepare for NEET this year and that is the reason his government is trying its best so that it would be applied for students from other sates, including Maharashtra from next year.
“We are requesting the Union government to go for admissions as per the CET this year and enforce the NEET from next year.” said Fadnavis.
